As per title... will the normal A+ distributor workl fine on a 998 turbo conversion?

im not planning to run more then 5psi! on a standard 998cc

Interesting thought. Safest thing to do it install it to give a maximum advance of 25deg. Then advance it bit by bit carefully listening for pinking, if it pinks you'll have to retard it a bit then clamp it up.

It'll be a compromised setup, but at such a low psi you might be able to run over 30 deg, which isn't far off what a high compression 998 A+ runs anyway.
