Nope

Throw it in the bin

Plumb the front brakes directly off the master cylinder, through a tee piece.

Plumb the rears through your adjustable valve, and then through a tee piece on the rear subby to either side.

I have always mounted my adj valves on the transmission tunnel so you can reach them while going along! In my opinion the screw type are the best for the road as they are infinitely adjustable. The lever type only have a certain number of stops and I have found in the past that for example one stop is not enough effort and the next one is too much effort.

Be careful setting them up to begin with. I used to alter it inside the car depending on the weather, e.g if it was bone dry then you can dial in some more rear brakes and get away with it, but in the wet that bias will have the rears locking up in no time.

Also if your car has the old style hydraulic brake switch then lose that as well. Get the later type one that fits to the pedal box. I have had the early ones cause a longer pedal as the fluid has to move the switch as well as the brakes......also I have seen a failed one, obviously a sudden lack of brakes would not be good....

You can get a bias valve from any motorsports supplier you choose. e.g. demon tweeks/merlin motorsport anywhere like that will sell you one.

I have used a 'Tilton' screw type valve to good effect on a couple of my old cars, but I expect the AP or Wilwood ones to be just as good.

Had many cars with valve fitted and obvious pass the MOT so as far as I know legal from that point of view.

Also my track car has an adjustable bias box with control of bias on the dash, and that also passes MOT.

You will probably need to order some adaptors to allow you to use 3/8" UNF flare nuts and 3/16" copper pipe. The adaptors in the picture will almost certainly be for aeroquip type brake lines, that do not use the convex/concave seat as used by solid pipe. If you phone up where you ordered it from and explain how you want to plumb it in (e.g. copper pipe) then they should be able to supply you the right adaptors.
