Although I'm in Ireland once or twice a year, I've never been there on St Patrick's day but I'm sure it's good...

But I was in the States (Pittsburgh) on business a few years ago on St Patrick's day and the city/bars all really knew how to behave (including plenty of Guinness).

In England though, there is little such patriotism *frown*

Maybe St Edmund could fix it :)

Happy Saint Georges Day gents, but it does sound a bit different than opur Patron saint basically Paddy's Day in Ireland is very simple, Everyone goes to watch the parade either in the city centre or on the telly!!!
once thats done the majority of the country gets hammered, Guiness being the drink of choice and are generally in bed by 9 o clock that evening!! what a day*happy*

Not far from here, normally drive through it to get to Snetterton.

Edit...I'm proud to be English *happy*

Edit 2...I think TM is the only place you can show the flag without being banned! :(

Me too, although you don't seem to be able to drive through the centre any more. They brew something called St Edmunds Strong Pale Ale. Must try it some time...
