Looks good. Is that a charger cooling kit from vmax on top of the charger? If so how is it fixed on? and does it have its own pump to shift the fluid to the cooler or is it using the cars cooling system? What power are you putting out?

Matty:

I haven't put it on the roollers. I'm goingo to do some miles before going to the rollers and fine tunning the engine.

Lockfast:

Yes, it's a "charger cooler" from vmax. I don't know how it's fixed because it was Stuart that have done the job as a courtesy. It uses a FACET solid to circulate engine cooling fluid. When mounted the FACET it's insuficient, so I'm going to use a 300ltr/hour pump used on Audis and VW's to cool turbos.

Power output, Stuart estimated 140/150+, but I'm more modest and I'm expecting somehere 130/130+.

Thanks in advance for all your replies and comentaries.

I'm going to the garage next Friday and I'm going to take some pictures in detail of the instalation.

The "charger kit" is pretty basic and it's composed by a small reservoir near the charger to fill the water cooling system, a kind of reservoir in the top of the charger, a 13 row oil radiator and a FACET solid pump (in my opinion insufficient to move the liquid).

Here are some pictures that I've taken when I received the kit.

In this you can see the radiator and the litle reservoir near the exhaust manifold.

"Congratulations for your project, I've already heard about your project that has been covered in the fórum MiniPT, but I lost my password and was not able to access to the forum anymore. Again I've got to congratulate you, because the Mini is very neat!"

Something like this, eheheh sorry fuiafonte.

Paul, the name "Penas" can be translate as "feather's", not because it's a lightweight Mini. It's just another name like any other! *smiley*

Now it's your turn, what can be wrong with "Penas"? LOL

what a great looking car interesting to know how the Sc cooling works and are they 1.5's roller rockers? what cam are you using with them?

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

This mini is plainly fantastic. I love3 the colour and the details of it - and those wheels - mmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!! :)

Regarding the Vmax part -
Am I the only one who is seriously confused about this 'charge cooler' on the supercharger?

Whatever it is - is mounted on the intake side of the SC. Personally - I was expecting to see something around 2" thick on the outlet of the supercharger with water passing in one side and out the other. At best, this looks like something to merely cool the SC housing, which will not make much difference to anything surely?

Hi!

Yes, 1,5's rockers. I'm using a MED XT cam.

Initialy the cam had 108 at full lift, but Stuart told me that it must have 110 at least, so the cam went back to MED and they have changed the cam.

Dave, I also thinked in something like that, and to prove that here is a rough drawing of what I was tinking to do in my local machine shop.

Forget the copper hoses, because I was planing using a litle radiator welded to some type of aluminum frame, and the air will pass through this radiator. Dont know if it will work, but was an idea. I have abandoned when Stuart told me about this. Because I am a litle far (eheheheh) I was no able to make my evualuation.

In the end I think that its going to help the SC dissipating the heat and in consequence a drop of a few degrees in the intake..... but I really dont know.

As I am the first here in Portugal to do this everything is new!! 8-)
