I know lightweight and reasonably priced don't generally go hand in hand but my seats really do weigh too much, so was just wondering what seats were out there that are lightweight for about £400-500 for a pair.

I'm looking to save about 7.5kg each over the cobra monacos I have at the moment, otherwise its really not worth it and the money can be spent on other things.

Thanks
James

My Elise S2 seats i have in the mini are very light, fairly comfortable and fit in the mini like they were made for it.

7.5kg EACH?

So that puts the new seats at around 3kg?

Ive got the cobeau Sprints...love them! really comfy seats even after a near 2 hour drive. lol

I'd go for the race series if I had the money though, as they are slightly better.

Sportseats4u is a really good/cheap place to buy seats from. Great service. *wink*

i can recommend the cobra imola pro's, very similar to mattys corbeau sprints, although the corbeau's seem to hold you in tighter on the thighs, oi oi!!, the cobras are 5kg each (so the stricker on the side tells me anyway) but are quite expensive at 275 quid per seat from merlin motorsport, or for the homosexual in you, demon tweeks.

Nice, but leather = heavy.

Im either going for some elise/exige seats or some Imola Pros personally. I was going to go for some Kirkeys but i dont want to do some driving in my car so im not sure how comfy they would be.

IIRC they are not all that much lighter than Imolas either.

I want harness holes though so its either the Imolas or Exige if the Elise ones dont have holes.

Thanks, I think what I'm gonna do is spend the money on stuff that will loose much more weight for the moment, lighten the roll cage with t45 tube, alloy brake drums, plastic windows, cutting metal out etc.

When I have more money I will change the seats, as whatever I do I will be strugging to loose much more then 8-10kg off the overall wight of the car.

I do like the look of those imolas though - one day.
