Well everything set off very well ready for riv run all cars working a-ok, we got a few graphics on the cars and we were ready to set off :).

the drive down went well had a stop or two for fuel and breaks for everyones legs.

Unfortunatally when we arrived at the camp site, it seems the long journey had taken its toll on one of the cars, no not the mini but the bad boy 106, the headgasket bust have gone as we were in the car park :(
the next pictures are all random from throughout the weekend.

This is how it ended for me on the back of an RAC van lol, got to say that was some of the best customer service i have had in years very very friendly chaps

it was very nice to meet the Tm lads and ladys was a very very good weekend indeed

Aye, what on earth happened to those two? Rolled one a case of running out of talent somewhere? Or possibly driving like a piece on the road?

the green one was hit by a lady in a ford focus not paying attention and on the phone head on! the red rolled mini missed a junction tried to get it clipped a bank and rolled it.

the side mount gt17 turbo'd (what rubicon and i decided) was a fiberglass shell!

the blue turbo on 13's nick posted was running 7.2-1 comp ratio according to the owner using 1.5 bar (22psi?)

Yes please! Is it under a standard round nose??

Didnt look as long as the usual roundnose 16v fronts?

Paul R, the red side mount turbo is not a fibreglass shell mearly lined with with it. It is owned by Martin Parsons from Yeovil in somerset. The blue mini on 13's I believe the owner told it was running 7.0:1 comp ratio and standard boost 1.5bar. What he didn't tell you was he does run over 2 bar of boost at the flick of a switch. I personally spoke to at least a dozen turbomini owners at the weekend who were building K head turbo projects, amazing.

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

I had the same issue, parked on the beach in the designated area, tried to drive off and buried the car upto its sump. Some kind Cornish folk turned up with some planks of wood and chocks and we got it out!

The Cream and brown redtop belongs to a friend of mine.
He built the whole thing from scratch himself, very clever bloke.
Unfortunately the engine does sit under an extended front but I agree that it doesn't look as obvious as other cars.

Have a read of his build thread on 16vminiclub:

Looks pretty long in this shot though!

I agree, it doesn't usually look anywhere near as long as some extended fronts. I think the classic colours really help

Mr. Prawn, the friendly Crustacean- slowly making steps towards forced induction.
