It seems a bit of a rip-off, but it'd cost me ?25 to switch according to my current contract company (contract expired ages ago)...

'Apparently' I have to get some code off them, then go into a vodaphone store, buy a ?25 sim, a min of ?10 credit, and then transfer to this...

I've seen SIM cards on ebay for as little as ?1.99, but will these do for me?

(i want to keep my existing number)

Cheers,
D

Not very sunny swanage

not quite the same, but when i changed my phone a little while ago, my sim was non campatible. all i had to do was use the new phone for about 14 days, (activate it then turn it off) then went into a o2 store (who im with..) and they simply changed the numbers across for me there and then. not too sure if this is relevent or not since i was going from payg to payg but.......

hth,

Pete

And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers!

you can unlock your phone for use on any network. The software todo this is on the net. but if your on vodafone at the moment, simply bang any vodaphone sim in and it will work, but you will then lose your number, as this is bound to the ESM in the sim

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

Go for an 02 one mate. it should work fine in a vodafone contract phone. get them online and get a good deal for £10. may even be able to transfer your number as well if you get that code.
