As i havnt put a post or up date on what is going on with my turbo engine, i thought i would explain a bit.
A mate took it for a MOT and it passed but we knew it had a few probs with the rear end, and as he drove it back from the MOT station the plate thate holds the cone in place on the rear subframe let go
So now its having major welding done to the back end boot floor/heel boards/ rear vaance and corners, plus a rear subframe.
So the engine project has been laid up a bit but is now back on track.
Got my drop gears-got lighter flywheel-got 266 cam- got center bearing for gearbox-got center pic up so just got to get pistons and valves?
I am only going +20 of standard for the moment just to see what i get.:) all good

So the subframe collapsed 5 minutes after passing an MOT!?!?

No it was just the plate where the cone sits, was a bit weak. and then you know what its like you start to dig and then you end up finding bathroom sealer!
So it all had to come out and get done as i am shit at bathrooms
And i dont bodge enything so you have to do it right. i wanted a complete boot floor but none around due to the shortage at the moment!!!!!

Thought the back end on one of my earlier buys was a little stiff. Ah thats due to the 2 by 4 sitting across the arms then. unlike yours that car never made it to its MOT, but good effort to the tester of yours
