At work we asked for an airline in our workshop, but our maintenance dept has supplied us with a SIP Airmate oilfree compressor.

The odd thing is they've not supplied a tank, just the compressor.

I've looked at the operating instructions and they seem to assume it will be attached to a tank, but it doesn't say don't use it without a tank.

Can I use it without a tank? Is this a daft question?

Cheers

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

There are a lot of SIP ones that you can use without a tank. as long as the cfm is up to it then shouldnt have any problems using it. only thing is it means it will be on all the time, we've got a 150litre sip at home and it cuts on and off as it needs.

Thanks for the replies

We'll give it a try without a tank, but I've a feeling I'll be asking for one pretty soon.

Cheers
