Now then....after a search i have found that alot of people use 7/8" master cylinders, and 3/4"? clutch. If you can get away without running out of travel you can use 3/4" brake masters to get more pressure at the calipers correct?

I have been looking at adjustable bias pedal boxes and i was wonder if the same applies? i would have thought not (brakes only) as you have now got separate masters for front and rear brakes?

The pedal box im looking at has masters that are:

Front: .625
Rear: .70
Clutch: .70

Google tells me that .625 = 5/8 but i cannot find out what .70 is.

Would these masters be suitable to me or would i be better off getting a plain box without masters and reservoirs etc and then get the optimum sizes for my set-up? The plain box is around £150 cheaper....

I am going to be using 7.5" alloy 4pots up front with Wilwood PS-1 calipers on the rear.

Any idea would be great as im abit lost when it comes to master cylinder sizing!

Cheers, James.

.70 is 7/10 or 14/20 if you like! *happy*

From memory, bean can MC's are .70 except some very early which were .75. newer yellow tags are .75 front and .70 rear. old black tags are .70 front and rear. I believe this is why the yellow tags have different size fittings do you don't mix front and rear.
clutch bean can MC's are .75
pressure is effected by both the caliper / cylinder and MC sizing.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

Well the Wilwoods are either 1.12" or 1.00"

Im just trying to price up all of the components individually to see if its cheaper to do it that way or what.

Its just whether these cylinders are going to be suited to my set-up, as if they are not then it will be cheaper and easier to get everything separate...

5/8s & 3/4s for me although 7/8ths would be better on the rear

KAD recommend 7/8 for brake and clutch but I didnt like the 7/8 clutch so changed it back to 3/4

Paul

I seriously doubt it!
