Hi,

I have a 12G295 for a 998 engine but I was wondering if it is OK to swap the double valve spring for some 1275 A+ ones that I have in stock.

After all, my engine is not gonna turn very fast and I understood those double valve spring add friction to the engine, not good for economy ...

Ho, and I promise I searched !

Double springs are overkill if you aren't revving more than 6000rpm. Especially if a higher than standard cam is used.

Remember that 1275 A+ springs are taller than the small bore ones, but this doesn't necessarily increase the poundage.

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

Thank you Vegard.

Tricky question but what do you reckon my peak power rpm might be with my setup ?
(998, 12G295, standart cam, 10 PSI, IC, megajolt)

Thanks in advance
