Hi all just received a t25 with the internal dump valve on inlet housing would this be a tomcat turbo?, it has a .48 a/r cant tell what the exhaust side is. I havent got round to measuring it yet but its smaller... maybe .42? And has the standard crack around wastegate! Not to worried though as it is pretty small and doesnt run very far.P.s do u have to run the water pipes ? |

no but i think there's a trick with the internal actuator/dump valve, to fill it up with washers instead of the spring.....I beleive this enables you to adjust the boost even more. i think? "Cars are a lifetime of pain" |

You don't have to run the water pipes plumbed in, but if the rest of your cooling system can cope, then it's beneficial for the Turbo. |

Those turbos work pretty well as I recall. I believe Dan ran one and was running low 14's with a pretty heavy car. On 17th Nov, 2014 Tom Fenton said:

i ran one on my k. made 197hp and 170ft/lb at 1 bar. above that it was becoming less efficient. the great thing about these turbo's is an upgrade to a larger T25 or anything from the t/GT28 family are a bolt on upgrade. lots of choice out there. turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

I think Ian runs one of these no? I think with a mirage setup you need to change the comp housing for one without the dump valve as it won't fit between the bulkhead and block. On 7th Nov, 2008 Nic said:
