Ok, so i've just come in from building the new engine up and trying to get the mini ready for it's mot on friday. I have at least 1 cut per finger and my knuckles have taken a battering. I'm tired, lacking money, and discovering the tiniest problems that make progress painfully slow at times!

It had better be bloody worth it in the end! Anyone else working late nights for a deadline?

I'm just pulling 18 hour days for the next 2 weeks. I get my cuts and general batterings at work :(
My car doesn't even get a look in until my only day off... which is Monday. Then only after I've done my chores :(

I find the easiest way is to super glue the bolt to the end of one of my fingers.

I'm trying to get mine ready for British Mini showdown. I've still got the following to do:

Finish trimming the interior
Bolt roll cage down
Wire in instrument panel and auxiliary gauges and switches
Refit seats and harnesses
Fit tank and fuel system
Repaint engine
Refit engine
Make inlet
Make exhaust
Make wiring loom for megasquirt
Get car running
Map megasquirt
Get some miles on it to make sure it all runs right!

Somehow, I don't think it'll be ready!

Yes. Welcome to our world. Its worth every bit of the pain I wish I could join in the pain letting but alas I fear the car will miss this season.

I didn't think i was alone! I really can't wait to get it on the road again. Mum and Dad have just having a new drive laid though and the mini is in the garage at the bottom of it! What timing! Stuck in it till thursday! Still, the engine can go in tonight and get everything ready!
