Hi guys!

I bought a T2 recently, told it was from a R5 turbo, but firstly the AR's are different from the R5. I also saw a pic of a T2 exhaust housing that looked different to mine. So I was wondering if someone could tell me if its a T2 or not please?

If it is a T2, its the "mark 1" as its only got an oil feed and drain, no coolant hoses.

Thanks,

James.

EDIT : the AR's are hot .47, cold .48

No, I didn't think it was either, because someone else said the R5 had AR .37 exhaust I think.

My guess is T25. R5 is .35 exhaust.

bump!
anyone have any ideas? I will be purchasing a mirage manifold kit soon, and would like to know if it will fit? It does seem to fit down the back of the engine quite well, without the actuator on, which is promising :)

thanks for the help :)

It's a four bolt flange, so should mate to the Mirage. But there's an issue with clearence on some T25's with the Mirage kit iirc ?

Oh, is it the clearance between the turbo and block, and some of the webbing has to be releived a little?

Thanks

That all depends on what car the t25 was from. T25 generally relates/refferes to the core/flange the a/r no's and trim are the key. compressor maps are a help. but if you cannot read one I believe there is a guide on here somewhere. Failing that a chat to AET or Turbotechnics will be be a good help with regards to suitability.

Did you try to google the magic number on the garrett tag in the 3rd picture? This often helps me identify 'mystery' turbo's... :-
