Figured I'd share a few pics of the car from last week. The car and I were hired to be a part of an LG phone commercial being filmed at Paramount Studios backlot in Hollywood.

As per their request, I got rid of the roofrack and the flat black Mambas and switched to the Minilights.

I love the simple looks of the original cars. Low and wide with no archs.
Class. Lovely car.

Great setting for it to.

Thanks guys...My turbo motor has taken forever to build. But once it is in place, the car will remain stock-ish on the outside with a hot motor hidden beneath. And these tv/movie jobs are paying for the parts!

It's been in 2 movies so far. It was used in Frost Nixon for a day. Though I haven't seen the film to see if it made the final cut.

I also got to be a background extra in the movie as well.

The car was also in a crappy teenager chick flick, Legally Blondes. They hired the car and me for 2 weeks. The movie trailer has a few shots of my car.

The car also regularly gets jobs at an event called Lucha Vavoom, a mexican wrestling/female burlesque show.

And it sounds like the car may have another job this thursday. There is a movie filming in the mountains north of Los Angeles and they need a few 'old and weird' cars for the background.

Living near LA has a few perks! ...other than the sun and the hot chicks! lol

Is that what they tell you LG stands for over there? They tell us that it stands for Life's Good. You are right though...Their stuff is crap.

Hot chicks? The girl in the LG commercial was super cute.

And there was an amazingly beautiful hair and make-up girl. I chatted her up a bit but she disappeared about half way through the shoot... :(

I hope not as well! She was a skinny little thing with blond hair done up with two little pigtails.

Spare bedrooms? I wish! Space is a luxury when rent costs as much as it does here. I could rent a nice flat in London for the price of my place here by the beach! But I do have a spare couch if anyone wants to visit LA. You just have to come bearing turbo parts....

Hrmm...I still need a Mirage manifold, an exhaust, fuel lines, a boost gauge, and general engine assembly help.

If it helps, it's 23 and sunny today here and will be 37 by the weekend. And we don't expect it to rain again until December. *tongue*
