Hi guys, just after a bit of help if at all possible.

I need a couple of flanges making up in mild steel - nothing fancy, simple 4 bolt flanges for a project. I had someone lined up to make them for me, but he can't get them done at work as his boss has clocked him doing foreigners! Also, all the engineering firms round my way don't seem to be interested in doing one offs.

I was wondering if anyone had the means to make me a couple of flanges, around 8mm to 10mm thick, mild steel, 4 bolt square style - I can supply exact size hand drawings. They don't need to be absolutely perfect, not worried if they're a little rough round the edges, but I need them done on the cheap and as quick as possible (ie in the next 2 weeks if possible).

Or if anyone knows of any firms around Lancashire way who might be interested in doing a couple of one offs on the side, that'd be useful too.

Buy a carbide bit from ebay and make your own from some plate probably bought from there as well, I did. Easy!

Interesting thought. How easy was it to cut?

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.
