Anyone had the carb fuel inlet pipe come lose and fall out?

Mine did last night. I've JB Welded it back in. any thought on how it was originally retained/sealed? is it just a push fit?

Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

Sh-t Wil, yes sort of. I've been lucky not to have the fuel one come lose and out, but my pressure feed out of the plenum came out and made car run bad. Very bad how there are just pushed in!

Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

It happened to me on my donor metro turbo engine before I removed it.

Someone told me that they are push fit, but on Group A cars they used to be threaded to stop them blowing out.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

JB weld seems to have done a lovely job. I'll keep my eye on it.
