Took my head apart this week, just wanted any thoughts to whether the head could have anymore work done.
Also I am not sure what to think about the condition of the guides. Your thoughts as always will be helpful
Thanks*surprised*

Those inlets are pretty coked up. What cam are you running ? Was it smoking at all ? If you do get new guides fitted, fit some decent ones that are properly bullotnosed from where they enter the port.
Is this being used on a NA motor, 36-31 valves ?

this is a n/a engine.
well, i had the guides changed not so long ago, but still maybe worth doing again. which guides would you suggest??
I also suspect the rings are buggered, i am doing the cheaper and easier options first just to make sure.
in respect of pistons, i am unsure, i have had a good look as i was trying to find out what cc they are, but there are no markings

Have someone in the know to check the guides and valves. No need to change them if not necessary. You will have to grind all the seats if doing this as well.

The guides seem to be pushed very far down from the pictures. What is the height from the top of the guide to the spring seat?
