People often state that certain exhaust will not work, but when asked to back them up with some figures off back pressure or back to back test results we don't get answers.

Or a 2" play mini with 3" tail pipe.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

The playmini one is quite a bit louder than the maniflow 2" system

Do MS do a large bore (2"?) RC40? the only one i know is 1.75" OD which is proven good up to 125 HP then it starts to choke the engine. OK. for N/A but naff for a turbo IMHO.

It's not the age that makes me creak it's the mileage

jim if you phone up maniflow the single back box is only rated up to 120 bhp thats fact!
of course they will flow more but at the expence of
"tail pipe heat and flow" ..... resulting in power losses!

i have a spare in the workshop and i will compare my rocket launcher back box to the maniflow one next time, power figure wise. once i have sorted my fried clutch, its finding the time at the moment.

Thats fair enough if they have supplied figures, but are the figures going to be the same for forced induction?

IMO the most important part of any turbo exhaust system is the downpipe, as the gasses are at there hotest there so less dense. There for there will be more air flowing through the downpipe, than at the tail pipe.

but the restriction is at the back box jim,

the best exhaust is no exhaust with no restriction especially a charged engine

The playmini is 2" ID and 2 1/4" OD IIRC so you will need a downpipe with a swaged in that is 2 1/4" ID.
