Somewhere around Swindon

Having got rid of my SIP welder and finishing the house finally this week i was thinking of getting a new welder, i have access to my old chaps boc 185 but its a bloody big heavy old thing to take anywhere like my house or into work

have been looking at lighter welders and these fall into my pricerange of sub £500

i think that they are all highly rated companies the lincoln is £411 the esab is £380 and the butters £425

whats the duty cycle? how long you can weld at full chat?

I've been very happy with my Snap-on (Cebora) 130 turbo- big enough to do what I need, plus has turbo in the name, what more could you want!

Essentially, yes.....

But it doesn't seem to take into account the starting temperature of the transformer, it seems to assume you've been running that current all day so sounds worse than it is in practice...
