My new cap and rotor arm just arrived for my mk1 dizzy.

The cap fits perfect, but the rotor arm seems much too big? The guy in minispares insure me they were the same as mg metro elec dizzies.

I suspect there may be something missing, under the cap is just the main arm that goes through the dizzy. Should there not be anything else other than the rotor arm under the cap. I know my mk1 is different. I hope i am explaining myself ok, as my camera is broke.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

nope, the rotor just fits onto the metal dizzy shaft. on both mk1 and mk2 dizzys. both use different bits though.

they have weather covers over them but this doesnt effect fitment of the rotor arm.

sounds like they havent sent you the right one. should be for a lucas 65 series dizzy. ive never had any problems fitting them with the genuine lucas ones i get.

You are correct, under the cap of the mk 2 dizzy there is just a shaft for the rotor to fit onto.

Whereabouts are you, I have got a box of dizzy bits and fairly sure I have a correct arm for the mk 2 dizzy.
