I am going to lighten the mini this summer, and looking at these as a fairly handy way of dropping a couple of kg's of unsprung weight.

My only concern is that they are produced my minisport. Are they any good, or who currently produce the best alloy rear brake drum?

the traders at london to brighton usually seem to have some good deals on so will be looking to purchase then.

Thanks.

i have them as well, also using a pair of the chinese copies, side by side i couldn't tell much difference in quiality, although i havn't done any miles on the china ones as the car isn't on the road, but done about 3k on the minisport ones no problem.

I believe in this rare instance that the minisport items are the original and best available.

They definately have steel liners inside, castings look identical to minisport ones, just don't have their name on.

I managed to use the bargaining power of cash yesterday at L2B and picked a pair up for £80. just need to find time to fit them now.
