Can anybody see any reasons why a fuel tank couldnt be made from carbon fiber? |

carbon is quite prone to leaking! This is FORD country, on a quiet day you can hear Vauxhalls rusting. |

better off with an atl fuel cell, thats what all the f1 cars use!

You could use a normal ally tank and make a carbon cover for it. |

I found a website a few months ago - a fella in the States made a carbon fuel tank for his motorbike. He never bothered to line his with a bag, although he did mention it. He also mentioned something about a paintable lining I think.

POR15 do a tank seal that would probably be suitable, it sealed up my eaky right hand tank (atmitedly at the second attempt) On 28th Aug, 2011 Kean said:
