One of my lower arms has adjusted itself and im trying to work out which it is, as none of the locking bolts appear to be loose and they are clearly at different angles. *oh well*

When I turn left it wants to go in s straight line so im thinking its the offside thats adjusted wrongly?

Ive got a pick (not very good) but you can see the camber difference between the 2 wheels (offside angled more). Just want a second opinion on which looks out before I go adjusting it to match the other side.

Cheers
Matt

I had the same with mine and it turned out the top arm bearing had collapsed.

Could be the case as the locking bolts are still tight.

If the top arm bush collapses, I assume this would cause an increase in the camber?

Ah better not be a knuckle joint *shudder* can't stand messing about with them things!

It did on mine. It also caused a drop in ride height.

I think I have a pic somewhere...

they are easy!

Compress the cone
Remove the arm
Use a blow torch to burn out the old cup
Insert new knuckle
Refit arm and decompress

Not so easy when you have inner wings and a side mounted rad.

Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."
Stephen Hawking - "The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge."

Ah the nuckle joint...I thought you meant the ball joints! Lol nuckle joints aren't too bad at all to do.

If it is the lower arm that has adjusted itself, where's the best place to measure to get the camber the same as the other side?

On the wheel rim at opposing 20 degree increments or 10 & double the figures - it is not as simple as measuring left and right arms length on a Mini as they (Minis) are more bent than Nic lol!
