I am building my test engine using a MG Metro Cam and have been looking at various cams to use on my proper engine. I haven't really thought beyond the Avonbar Ph2. Although I am sure there are a lot more hiding. So, what is the variety of "off the shelf" blower/turbo cams. I will try adding to this myself.

Anyone? Stu

Bugger off, I'm getting there.

Thanks, I was looking more for who makes what and what the numbers are, rather than a discussion of why they are great.

I am particularly interested in a supercharger cam from australia which was roughly 265/290 with tight LCA's. To see how it compared with everything else. I like the sound of the Avonbar T2 and want to compare it with the specifically ground supercharger cams. I expect to see the exhaust open later and tighter LCA's. Anyway, I'm 99.99% going with the Ph 2 but I'm interested in what else is out there and if it's better for me.

Thanks anyway, stu.

"off the shelf" ... Well isn't that almost every cam ever discussed on this site?

Personally i'd just go with a 276 or a 286 for a SC. Again - off the shelf cams. Until you buy an engine dyno to develop your engine, that's all you can do.

Dyno, come on man? I've got "The Hill", been using it for years. Although I saw an engine brake for sale for ?150. Was skint at the time though.

Anyway, both Kent and MED do a turbo cam. What are the figures on those? Timing/Lift.
