Hello, I have plumbed/wired my MPi tank correctly as far as I know but I'm pretty sure the pump has packed in, just looking confirmation before I buy a new one! When I switch on the pump you can hear it fizzing away but then you can hear it slowing down to almost a stop after 5-10 seconds. What do these types of in-tank pumps sound like? It's rather quiet (infact weak sounding) and I take it the slowing down isn't normal? After messing about for half an hour the pump went completely quiet and seemed to not be pumping at all. I pulled the tank out and noticed fuel in both the supply and return lines so it was pumping to some extent. I pulled the pump out and applied power and now it's doing nothing. Does anyone know what the model number is for the MPi pump? Where is the best place to buy a new pump, merlin lists one but it looks different? Is there any alternatives to the MPi?

Thanks again folks!

This is his shop. not listing one at the moment. might be worth dropping him a mail.

He doesn't post tanks, but he may well send you just a pump

have a look at some of the K head boys options. i think its a new toyota celica pump.

Higher output (possibly over kill) but it might be cheaper than an MPI pump. and maybe easier to find.
