Should the read out on the gauge be steady or do they fluctuate? No matter what position the throttles at , idle/cruise , full power, over-run the readout on mine fluctuates quite a bit. Is this normal?

Just checked out some vids on youtube of the AEM UEGO and they seem to fluctuate the same as mine. Guess mine's O.K. then :)

You will still need a wideband sensor and controller to give the gauge a signal.

Looking at the instructions it uses the stock lamba sensor, therefore I would be inclined to say it is a narrow band jobbie.

for anyone looking for an afr gauge i have to recomend the VEMS one,

perhaps not everyones cup of tea looks wise, but very easy to hook up, works a treat, and can display egt too amongst other things.

I have the VEMs one to and after a few teething troubles to start with I have found it very good.

it was mainly down to poor instructions from VEMs. Trying to get the 5v output working and rather annoyingly it automatically switches between AFR and lambda when the car is ticking over. When sorted though it worked a treat.

Now thats surprising *hehe!*

It is right that VEMS has a great product, but there always seems to be something lacking in translation from Hungarian to English, or is that Techy Geek speak into End User speak, LOL. It is a problem.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...
