I've just got back from Bruntingthorpe testing grounds, and would like to thank Matt (miniwilliams) for organising a great day out.

It was great fun giving the car some stick down the strip and good to meet some more of Turbominis finest, with some nice cars.

Here's some pictures I took. I'll let Matt divulge any results if he wants to, probably not, otherwise you won't buy the mag!

Had a great day, good fun blasting round after all the photos and times had been done. Not having used my mini in such a way before, as it's really a road car, it was nice to find that it was well balanced and fun on the track.

It was a particually fast circuit though, and it seems my over exuberance has maybe done the head gasket.

i think on the info scrot t3tone had the most impressive time of 0-100 in 12.9 secs the barsted

Despite being mini less for the day had an absolute hoot, was great to put faces to names also to scrounge rides in some seriously quick minis.

had such a good day yesterday too, thanks for organising it all matt.
was mighty impressed with everyones cars, especially keen's - didnt realise how quick that thing was aswell as looking mint! quite happy (shocked!) by how well mine went too, despite the monumental oil leak and almost completely loosing clutch hydraulics by the end of the day!lol

Well that's better, a good few hours sleep and i can now look back. Reading your comments I'm so pleased and relieved that you appeared to enjoy the day. I wish i had more time to step back and not be so bossy at times, to do the same, But it was great to meet you new faces, Anton, Ian w, Kean, Ron and bro.
every ones car impressed me, in one way or another, the days wasn't about being the fastest, but taking part and seeing what you could get out of your car that's been designed for your needs, IE Just for road, just for drag, or a bit of both. We were very lucky with the weather I believe as looking the night before it looked grim! And despite a few showers, runs in the wet and dry still went ahead.

Very pleased to see you using the track when you could, although i thought you might have been out there more often, but there was time on side and was nice in a way to just chat and have a social day for once.

There were a few small dramers along the day, well that would be minis for you other wise, but i think every one that drove there drove home ok, so that was some thing.

I now need a new clutch plate, but I'm hoping that it's just got oil on it from a recent oil pressure pipe leak (4litres worth) A real shame about the clutch as i know no you need massive power to go at high speed, and without the clutch biting i couldn't give her that, so was a little disappointed on the end result, however Apart from that, it drove home so was pleased, I'm sure i can hear a gearbox rattle now, but that might be more panicking lol.

So once again a MASSIVE thanks to the people that took part. Please PM or email me if you have any idea how (if we did another) we could improve things, this is the first event I've sorted out so your input would be great.

As Wil said not really fear on the retro cars mag to post to many details yet other wise you won't want to buy it. But I'm sure i can slip up the odd shot when i get a sec.

Yes cheers for sorting the day matt, was a struggle getting up at 3:40 but well worth it.
Nice to meet some new people and their cars, all of which produced good times. Was looking forward to seeing wil's 998 run and it did not dissapoint, he even overtook me!!
This could be made a regular thing and like the idea of a bbq, im sure it will be very popular.

Was fun passing Tone as I blasted round, he obviously has more respect for his car than I have for mine. In reality though I took 3 times as long to get to 100 than his flying machine!

Well hats off to Matt for organising a cracking day me and Richard my bro had a cracking day even when it was raining, we had some hairy moments with the a032rs at the bottom out of site

I managed to get some of my cars problems sorted and no what issues i have to sort! It was good too put some names to faces and there was some good TM banter

Thanks mate, was good to see you, your car was still lifing a wheel i think around one of the corners in the WET! as you were giving it large in the wet stuff. Will dig out picture and post when i can, but i've just had news that the feature might be brough forward do to another feature drop out, so i can't do any thing atm as have to sort out time and pictures for post in the morning OMG, it's going to be a late one!!

Well Stefaz early days mate but a few people have hinted on this. So maybe. I would love it to be, just so much sorting out lol.

Im glad feed back from the day is all positive, would love to be apart of the next one (just this time with a mini) The banter was so much better in person than it is on here, had me in stitches! A big thank you to T3tone for letting me ride shotgun and taking his car for a lap. I got home at 21.45 yesterday, the poor beemer got thrashed within an inch of her life on the way back, so wished I had booked the day off today.
