i have searched and found some almost usefulll info from jimster, but still no luck..

the car has been parked up for 5 months, now all back together and ready for summer, taxed and insured from tomorrow but the wipers refuse to work!
I have done a few checks, tried a different motor and so on. there is power getting to the motor and the earth, i believe to be good. After the 5 wires into the plug (on the motor) is 3 wires into the motor, if i move the wiper stalk, the power moves between the red and yellow wires into the motor, does it need both or just one of them?
I dont understand how the parking thing works, i dont even know where the switch is, if thats what it is. lol. But i do know that back when it was running before the wipers never parked them selves. they would stop where i stopped them. And i never had a problem with this.
Also, if i put the multi meter on the terminal it shows 12v then if i plug the motor in the voltage drops to 0 but the motor doesent even try to turn.
Please please give me some help or pointers, I dont want to be stranded in the rain *frown*

Thanks. Dan

just to let people know. i found the problem, the fuse had some corosion witch is why it was showing 12v on the meter then 0 when something actually tried to draw a real current. you live and learn... i did check the fuse but only to see it was in one piece. lol

thanks anyways stefaz!

Dan - now back on the road *happy* *happy* *happy*

No Brett I just stop them where I want. It's low on the priority list tbh but one day I might have a look.
