well after getting the clutch to feel right i now have issues when she gets hot after a good burn, the plate i think is dragging of the flywheel so must be when the primary gear gets hot its sticking to the splines on the plate.

i cant remember if i put a smear of copper slip on there or not when i changed it.

so just asking what other peeps on here use on there splines for the plate

always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas

I have always Put them on dry in fact I always wash the Primary with solvent to make sure there is no oils on it.
IMO oil here is just somthing for clutch dust ot stick to

As above, completely degreased and dry.

For the same reasons (just like an inertia starter bendix scroll, also for the same reason).

In the garage......again!!

could be the primary gear sticking to the crank when its hot

133.5 bhp 123 lb torque 116mph @6640rpm 9.5psi
Shakespear RWYB 14.995 91.83mph

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Not a defective slave is it? not giving enough travel after its been toasted by the turbo? thinking easy things first!

cheers for the input, primary had correct enfloat when installed, however i didnt clean up the splines, i used to use the red grease with clutch plates on the splines.

clutch movement is spot on its just dragging but to be honest it can wait untill winter unless its get worse as i need new drops any how.
