back home from Silverstone it was a dangerous, funny, tiring (good one) trip and meeting.
Sure that some will spot the bmw thing. So it was certainly organised by bmw and the show was oriented, but there was some old minis , miglias, seven racing , old mini show I think they did want to link both, and that's taking in. the circuit is nice vast and a lot of distractionn were included, definetely al was worth the 35£ to book This part of England is a beauty and I get away from london to Northamtonshire by small roads, motorways not being our cup of coffe .we have enjoyed it a lot, and some good places were spotted . I was really impressed how the mini helped us in many occasion to make link with peoples, it does open a lot of doors and smiles.
I enjoyed to meet Jim, even if some badluck hasn't allowed us to meet in a relax time, away from the miglia's racing.Walking around these mig's and seven, looking all around certainly with some goggleyed, was a pleasure.
A good met too was Mr robert and his "bombastique" mini,a quiet gearbox, a clutch that can cope with all the torque, and a powerfull turbo aserie over these, it's very well engineered and so it is really FAST and Robert has injected nicely some adrenaline in my blood,...on these bumpy roads,sure some suspension upgrade could put the cheery on the cake, and even without only a few cars could catch him.I prefer not to think what this would have given on the Robert's turbo motorbike.I liked too Robert's place ,it's quiet, green everywhere and very clear with a nice tvr in the garage and a lot of fascinating stuff.
We had some troubles that in the end could have been a drama, but again we met very professional and pleasant peoples.

conclusion: we're planing the next travel, certainly august, and already planed to buy:

i also enjoyed fabs visit ,and his unbelievably well behaved boys . itook him for a sedate troll in my mini then we went out in his ,blimey , i must do something about my suspention , i think those gaz may have a fault somewhere ,impressed with fabs turbo response considering which one it is ,and i thouhgt I had A WHEELSPIN PROBLEM!! good and pokey , especially on the low boost setting ,bit detty on high but that was cheap british petrol for you ,definately a 14 second car ,at least.

was a good weekend, albeit it bmw oriented, quite a few fitties (mostly foreign) totering about, and some ace minis there, the migs were good to watch too

well chuffed the weather turned out great, my neck and shins are burnt to a crisp!
