just thought I would take off the dash pot cover and give the float and chamber a polish as this always used to improve performance on my twin carbs but the heads of the bolts are the wierd star like shape so I just poped down to my local motor factors and we tried every type of star drive socket he had but with no luck so what are these little buggers? Are the just a variation on a star drive? |

pliers, hex socket, or a slot put in the head with a hacksaw is the best way... I always replace them with std SU screws! On 17th Nov, 2014 Tom Fenton said:

You will find your carb is what Rover called Anti tamper meaning unserviceable outside main dealer. The float chamber will be the same and the mixture screw is covered as well. |
