Some s~~t vids of the car on the RR today, it was just for set up not a power run.

O yes It did not pass the MOT as the-
1. headlamps was to high
2. front suspension had inadequate clearance between the bump stops
3. Windscreen wiper not working to good.

Haha welcome to the turbo world!

Thats good going to get it all back together and running in such a short time.

Sounds like you need to find another MOT tester, your car is one of the cleanest ive seen. For something so minor, my tester would of just given them as advisories. *oh well*

You guys really get your balls busted over there for the MOT...here in the US (at least on the east coast), I can take a registration paper to the Motor Vehicles Admin, pay my $75 and be on my way...not even so much of a picture of the car needed! It's actually somewhat of a loophole right now as anyone with a car over 20 years old can do this without any inspection whatsoever...lots of crap out on the road though because of this...*oh well*

Also, keep your chin up Simon...it will all be worth it in the end!

"1. headlamps was to high"

Every mot station ive gone too had adjusted this when its lined upto the machine!

"2. front suspension had inadequate clearance between the bump stops "

Im baffled by that one, really?!

"3. Windscreen wiper not working to good."

Ah i guess fair enough on that one, but ive got to say it, the wipers are crap on minis anyway.

He sad he will do the headlamps when i go back

Well the car is low and as its on hilows also the bump stops are cut down a bit (done at pitstop when new) now its all settled its lower.

as for the wipers it just stopped there and then i will have a play tomorrow.
