i have a mini with a 84 metro turbo. i put a regular hif 44.i have a rich needle in it. msd boost retard box pertronix electronic pickup with a vacum advandced distributor. please help

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

Over fuelling? does it need the choke to start?

well theres a clue it may be running too rich. cause of the dry black plugs and possibly the blue smoke.
i had one that seemed like it was burning oil when running excessively rich

cool, glad i read this thread. i think mines doing the same thing. gonna give me plugs a check in the morning now. i thought it was running rich as its really drinking the fuel. plus i'm getting blue smoke but dont seem to be losing any oil.

Another thing that made me think it wasn't oil burning is that the smoke burns my eyes and throat a bit more than normal oil smoke :)

good job i'm at the rollers next weekend aswell!
