Hi guys
I have a very small problem. If i let the steering wheel go, or if i brake quite hard, the car pulls to the left (and never stays straight or pulls to the right). I know it is not a problem with the brakes as this happened with the standard brake setup before I fitted the metro turbo discs and calipers, the wheels have just been re-balanced and the tyre pressures are fine.

Is this a common problem? Is it meant to do that?
If not, how can i fix it?
Cheers
Steve

It's probably worth checking that the caster is eqyual on both sides. If it's not you can get the symptoms you describe.

If you have wide wheel/tyres it might just be the road camber though.

I think the tie bars being bent could casuse this have a look at them lots of people use where they bolt at the front of the subby as a jacking point and often bend the little buggers

Also ....

Check you subframe mountings to ensure they are perfect and true

Good Luck

Are your wheels quite offset and one of your brake pistons sticky? That's what it sounds like to me.

Bugger off, I'm getting there.

I'd get you r setup checked for caster (tie rods), camber (not likely cause but worth a check). Have you got adjustarides fitted, may be worth checking that the for corners of the corners of the car have equal weight side to side at the front(i.e. corner weights). If you have an adjuster way out it could cause pull, partic under braking where one wheel would lock up before the other.
