Lowestoft, Suffolk.

I use stainless steel tie wraps, they slide together and tighten flat, do the job a treat.

Good idea. Might be able to get some of these rather than mail order the tool. Cheers :)

Get those stainless tie wraps from screw fix. I remember buying a bag of 100 and I'm sure they were less than a tenner. I saw a seller at a mini show the once selling these for £1 each!!! *surprised*

I have the tool and find it invaluable. I've tried the stainless cable ties and usually struggle to get them tight enough.
Joey - that kit looks good, never seen the seperate band and clips before.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

yarp, took me a while to figure

there should be a clip with a hole and a slot

from memory (always a bad start) you fold one end through the slot over the hole, wrap the band round once or twice or three times if youre me, always tucking the end through the slot, then once your happy, cut leaving 4 inches or so sticking through the slot, feed this through the tool, tighten it up, then fold over against the slot to retain tension, and use the bit in the tip to cut off the excess

i might have it wrong, but it works

Also, keep in mind the direction the cv is rotating to you fold it the right way, otherwise it might catch plastic bags and stuff and wrap it around your cv :)
