Use the two outside of the 3 pins to connect to the ignition coil + -, I believe the engine will only run with it connected one way. SOmeone please correct me if im wrong.

Connect it with the wrong polarity and its toast. |

mmmm that gives me 50% to get it right. That's not enough for me. there is nothing wrong with a A-series that a turbo can't fix.

Has the ignition amplifier got two or three pins ?.

I have the wiring diagrams for the two pin type but not the three pin type.

I just posted out the connector for a late ellectronic dizzy. 3 connectors in the wiring block, but only the outside ones had a wire connected. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

no, but I have a metro haines manual that I can have a look in tonight. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

changed the topic name for a more effective search in the future.
there is nothing wrong with a A-series that a turbo can't fix.

Well... Haines manuals are rubbish for wiring diagrams. Excluding plug leads, all models have two wires except for the late ones which have none....
