i know there is allot of debate on this subject and im not going to get into any arguments over compresser maps, effiency etc BUT

BLOODY HELL

I got my car back on the road this weekend and im just running it in at the moment And its not set up very well at the moment

I have changed to a t25 from a nissan 200sx And i will never go back to a metro turbo T3, the difference in my opinion is amazing!!! Just driving up and down my cul de sac on the maiden voyage i didnt expect it to suddenly kick in so soon, without even putting my foot down!! AMAZING

I dont know what ttype of silvia im afraid, it was from a scrappy up near birmingham, they took it off the car for me, i never saw the origional car.

But then its not an origional turbo, its from turbo technics (obviously a recon unit for the nissan), and im afraid i dont have the technics number to hand for me to find out what its for

just interested as the late s14's ran a t28 while the s13's were t25's, and the s12's were t2's i think

got a feeling the very late silvia/200sx ran ball bearing gt series turbo's

the s14's have a flange fitting for the air inlet as opposed to the normal rubber pipe with jubilee clip you see on most turbo's

If it was the bluebird/silvia, it was a T2 - these were used on the 1800 8v engine...
The 16v motor in the mjority of the 200's used the T25.
As i understand it, the S14 engine in the last of the 200's had a core housing suitable for use with a ball-bearing assy - but this bearing wasn't fitted to the S14 as standard....

yep your right dave just checked up, it seems the turbo used on the s14 looks a like a BB one even though its not! The link below may prove useful in discovering what the turbo is off
