Can somebody tell me what would be the best cam and what would be the best roller rockers to use on my metro turbo engine for my mini?

An A Series cam.

I could say go for a "Avonbar Phase 2" which many consider to be a good cam, but for all I know it could be totally inappropriate for what you want.

Your choice of cam will radically effect how the engine behaves and therefore depends on many things not least engine spec & what you plan to use the engine for, what power band you want, do you care about emissions.

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

a narrow plan of your engine spec if you dont mind me saying......anyway the cam i suggest to you would be the kent 266 cam or the mg metro normally aspirated cam.

some gents on here have well over 200BHP with the A series engine with all the right parts etc fitted

take note of Rob H reply above
i also suggest you read alot more and use the search facility as most topics have been coverd before........ having said that a warm welcome to turbo minis

i would go for 1.3 roller tip rockers rather than 1.5's you wont lose much if anything in the power stakes but its far nicer to the cam and followers plus oil pump

always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas

Please correct the following if it is wrong.

I did a little research a while back before deciding which cam to stick in mine and it basically boils down 3 types SW05, KENT 266 or the MG metro cam.

They basically had the same characteristics giving the same timing, lift and overlap values or very close to each other. There are always other options like he Minispeed turbo cam, but I have no figures for this and was unable to get them from Minispeed direct. So bought one and will get them my self. You could always go the custom ground route but having worked out the best cam geometry I would like for mine guess what, it worked out to be a clone of the above cams listed.

So really your choice if you are not sure is very narrow to be on the safe side. As for roller rockers I have no idea, hope this is of use.

Given you're a novice...

Some sound advice might be to leave well alone.

Who is building your engine, and are they competent to do so ? And more importantly, given your questions regarding removing the ecu.
WHich is very very very basic easy stuff when it comes to turbocharging.

Who is going to be tuning this car ? That really isnt something such a Novice should be tackling, as it could lead to a blown engine.

The standard cam works fine, as does a MG Metro cam.

If buying aftermarket, I can only say the Swiftune SW5 worked very well for me, along with basic 1.5 rockers.
Rollers would of course be preferred.

Would a avonbar phase 2 turbo cam work well with 1.5.1 roller rockers?

My sister is so fit I won't show anyone her picture

The Phase 2 is a great cam, Avonbar recommend to use it with 1.3 ratio rockers, though I've used it with 1.5's, you may lose a little bottom end power.
