A Formula 1 cars front tyre is 270/55 R13 in size.

270/55 R13... that would be a 10,5x13 if I understand the stuff correct. A bit on the wide side, but it sure could be fun to try.

Anyway, Toyota is selling used F1 rims on their website for just 200€ a piece.

Darnit... would have made for a good cheap showoff rim... "What's that your mini is on?" "just Formula 1 Magnesium alloys? Why? don't you have those?"

The ones to have are tyrell p34 front wheels (aka the six wheeler). This ran 10" x 10" front wheels but quite a low profile tyre. My current aim is to get hold of some tyres at least as we race against one with the cars at work.
