I can here the Benross typing away.

As with all things it depends on the spec of the head you have. If its modified then you need to post up the mods to the head. If its a bog standard 12g940 no!

It's totally impossible to say. What's the current compression ratio of the engine? Which ignition have you got?

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

Medusa + injection = too much torque for the dyno ..https://youtu.be/qg5o0_tJxYM

had that robert in my youth....lol *hehe!*

in answer to your question in short yes! but............ what pistons have you now got in and the CCs in the crowns ?

in short you have to take into account the compression ratio you now have ? depending what maximum boost you wish to run and wether you are running an intercooler or not ? also will the rest of the engine parts (ie) take it clutch, gearbox, drop gears, diff etc.... are they standard ..?
more info then we can advise you right!

of course a well sorted head is a big improvement to any state of engine tune than a standard one.

hope this helps

using those pistons gives you a cr of 8.15:1 a shade low, you want to be 8.5:1
this will promote better economy and spool the turbo up a tad quicker

at 8.1 you will have no problems running that boost without intercooler

8.15:1 is with standard cylider head or turbo head? so if i boost 10psi, 8.5:1 is better? thanks

iirc the chambers are the same on the turbo head as they are on the standard n/a head..

The Turbo head is no different in chamber volume, 21.4cc, the same as all other 940's.

Changing to another standard 940 casting will achieve no change in compression, as the chamber vols are the same. If you need to lower the compression, have the chambers in your current head enlarged.

The early Turbo castings had a thinner deck as they had enlarged water ways, the Turbo heads were also fitted with larger {8mm}sodium filled exhaust valves, other than that nothing.

Youve decided on pistons, and have no idea what your CR will be ????

I strongly suggest you source an engine builder fast. As I dont think you should be anywhere near an engine with statements like that.
