I'm slowly waiting for my work laptop to power up so I can crack on with work, so far it's been half an hour since I took it out of it's case and hit the power button.

Oh and I've had to enter four different user names & password plus two security dongles (BIOS, Logon, Remote Connection to the Network & Accessing Shared Data Environment) so far and I'm still not in, grr IT security don't you just love it.

Mine regularly takes 45 minutes and 2 or 3 logins before it works properly.

That's progress!!

I leave my work laptop on standby, that way I'm straight back in, otherwise its 1/2hr or so of rebooting and swearing at the damn thing.

I thought mine took a while at 10 mins. The new PC in the office is up and running in less than 60secs

Jeez.
Mine takes about 1 minute. My PC takes a smidge longer due to the servery-stuff that needs to start up on it, and my PC here at work is about a minute longer than that.

You all need to poke your IT chaps, or get upgrades!

Work PC gets left on all the time, otherwise I've got too many different systems to log on to when the machine starts up!

My personal MacBook boots in around 20 seconds or so.....
