It was quiet quite which was nice as it mean it was a bit more laid back and I could talk to drivers about there cars.

I don't think there was anything special there that's not in the above pictures, the early twinnie was great but never did a flying run.

I'll try and get some more pictures up.

Is that mk1 the one with non-a series 16v engine of some sort?

I believe its a non vtec honda motor. was pretty quick and unbelievably quiet!

and for some reason it looks so right on 12's!

I thought all the cars had to be road legal at this event? Lots of slicks here! I remember Fast Carl slagging this event for this reason!

I don't really have many good pictures but did get some in car footage, we bodged my mates camera phone onto a sat nav mount.

Bare in mind this is the first time I've done anything like this, and my heavy car is only powered by an n/a 1275.

I am the blue one with no grille in Robs pictures. (the radiator had no fan on these runs) so I wanted to ensure maximum airflow to it.

heres one of my runs http://s168.photobucket.com/albums/u196/mi...nt=SDC11618.flv

Apparently its got a Cox 1600 honda engine from a Concerto, with 117bhp at the wheels.

Yeovil,ZomerZet! The Land of the Cider tree!

The Pic's are brilliant RobH, The cooper with all the body roll was me giving it hell! Ive got a smoother ride kit on there due to having a bad back so thats the reason for the full on body roll, that must have been one of my earlier runs as I stiffend the shocks right up for the rest of the runs. I see Im having a dam good go at pealing the outside tyre off the rim to!! Good times!! was a cracking weekend!!! Did anyone else have a go up the hill in the 6R4 today?? It was mind blowing!!!

Sorry Rob, My brain wasnt engaged, must have miss read your thread, my mini is NED 17M the first pic in your 2nd posting. i would love to own that cooper, I believe its got works history and driven by a girl? Or am i getting that mixed up with another one??

You missed a dam good day, lots of very nice toys being driven hard! The 6R4 was absolutly incredible, Ive never been in something that accelorates like that, my eyes are stuck in the back of my head!! Really nice guys that owned it to. One of them was telling me that getting spares for them is a real issue now, he was offered a 2nd hand rear diff with no gaurentee's for £7000 plus VAT!! thats bonkers money!!
