Hello All


Had an idea for a new category on the site

It is for companies or suppliers, so that when you use a company to buy a part or service, you can post a thread detailing your experiences (good or bad!) so that others can then get an idea of what suppliers are like?

Then others can add to the thread with their experiences etc etc.

What d'you reckon?

Only thing I would say is that maybe there needs to be some sort of disclaimer along the lines of "Views belonging to contributors to turbominis.co.uk and not neccesarily the opinion of turbominis.co.uk" just to make sure noone gets sued........

lible is still lible...

and this site would still be legally responcible from what is published on it!

Most forums do not bother as its not worth the risk.

Nope, not worth the hassle

word of mouth should soon help you find out whose good and bad and why

good idea but very difficult to control really.

Only post good suppliers then.

We should praise companies for good service rather than complain about bad service.

yeah but then you'll soon find somebody who has had bad service whatever happens. not really worth the hassle of having a seperate thing for it. if you want to post a positive comment just put it in the general for all to see

The only reason I suggested another category is that with the general chat topic, stuff disappears down the list never to be seen again, but I admit that I know absolutely nothing about webiste design, so my mere whim could probably equal quite a lot or work!

Anyway just an idea, basically came up as I ordered a new helmet from Demon Tweeks on tuesday and their service was especially good, hence my idea of the recommended places.

is easy enough to put a section in but probably not worth it for this alone. maybe the general needs splitting up or more topics per page or something. not too sure what the answer is

using the unread topics thing is what i always use anyway

only the posts that come up in the "XX unread posts" section are unread. then the red ones are new posts and the grey ones edited posts
