after stripping down this engine as well to see if it would make a nice turbo engine i cant find a makers name on these pistons, i wonder if anyone could help id them and more importnantly say if they are suitable for a turbo engine.

It's a 1275GT or late 'S' piston, 9.7 CR. The ring sizes are 2x0.0625" and 1x0.1562. |

Those pistons have definitely been machined to lower the CR in the most stupid way. No, not normal.

cheers for the replys, i dont think they will be going back in anyway as after reading some stories on here i will be putting either accralite's or omeags in i just need to find a machine shop to bore one of the blocks i have, hopefully a new set of pistons will get the bugger up the bore a bit more as well because as it sits if i put a turbo head on it acording to the compression calculator xml that someone linked i would have something silly like a 7:1 compression (the original engine was higher as the head was skimmed to death on it)
