Taken my tank off the metro turbo because its been cutting out, pick up full of crap. I've noticed that where one of the metal pipes joins the tank has cracked will JB weld do the job? is it safe to use on a fuel tank? thanks

you can braze or weld the tank and it would last longer than JB weld. i've welded a few tanks but since having one explode in my face i wont be doing it again! i washed it out with degreaser, washing up liquid, plain water and also the exhaust fume idea, still exploded. |

Whenever I have to weld a fuel tank I fill it with water and leave just a small air space in the area where I am welding. This means that even if there is residual vapour it is only a tiny amount and unlikely to cause serious injury. |

i agree with tadge44, that is exactly the way i welded the return union on my old mini tank and you aint going to set a tank of water on fire |
