How do these cams last. I have one on my shopping list. Was going to use forged unrollered 1.5's and CF rods (keeping the weight down) allthough I think the ex lift is 0.455" (???) might be a bit ott/harsh with 1.5's. Would be interested though.

Bugger off, I'm getting there.

i'm using standard ones with mine. dunno if they're better or not though, all i know is that the engine runs and pulls pretty well and thats good enough for me :)

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

The general consensus is to use 1:3 ratio roller rockers, as this does not exaggerate the camines of the turbo engine.
When using anything over standard cams. (say 265deg)
1:5s only exaggerates the ?WHOLE? cam train wear by a massive amount.
General consensus dictates, 1:5s should only be used on say standard or near standard cam profiles for TURBO applications.
Please read the thread on page 4 or 5, CAM CHOICE in the help section this should put you in the ballpark.
There has been a lot of input on this thread off some of the top guys in the game.

no way in the world would i use cf push rods though.......

really takes no effort at all to snap one and broken carbon can do a LOT of damage.

Maybe Sauber still has stanard valve springs? The Rover ones will not cope with a ph2 cam and 1.5 rockers...

As in correct Stu... The minispares 170lb ones are more than man enough for a turbo mill - anything more is wasted energy

So, the minispares springs are the choice to go for with 1.5's and a ph 2 ?

Would I be right in thinking that the 1.5 rockers take out some of the "pulseyness" away from your exhaust which would cause the turbo to not be as quick to spool up?

Are the figures (lift) quoted by avonbar for 1.3 lift?

stu (just snapped my bloody exhaust manifold)

Bugger off, I'm getting there.
