Well yesterday i had it confirmed, my free use of a garage with electric is set to end in 1 month :(

Thankfully since the mini has been in there i have finished all the bodywork, so it can sit on the drive without the neighbours calling the scrap man.

I could hire a council garage, but all the ones local to me are in areas that you don't like walking in alone (they all start with P, and in Swindon as a rule of thumb, don't live anywhere that starts with P!!), plus they don't have electric.

So i hope its a bloody hot summer, and a dry, warm winter!!

no space :( my drive is only made for 1 car, homever the mini and ford ka are both small, so with a bit of close parking, should fit (i hope)

thats a bummer - I remember the last time we had to move mid project. ended up leaving cars and stuff with friends and family till be could get a new workshop.

maybe with the car on the drive, you'll be able to get on with it more regular though if its in your face all the time!

Sorry to hear that. I can remembeer lying in the snow changing bits and other occasions lying what felt like a steam fixing bits. Not fun!

So pull your finger out and crack on*smiley* Its amazing what progress you can make when your comfort zone is removed.

Get yourself a decent car cover to keep what work you have done rain free!! I highly recommend the cover zone covers...........

The way I see it is make the absolute most of the month you have, first priority is get it watertight, and then if you are planning any paint get this done. Then it needs to be rolling if it isn't at the moment. Everything else can be done well enough on your drive.

fortunatly, its one door shy of being watertight at the moment. That door will be painted once the paint suppliers get their arse in gear!

and its rolling on it own, which is a rare thing for one of my cars!!

well a quick update, last thursday Neil kindly helped me move the mini to the drive :'(. Here she stands:

Now, those of you with a good eye for detail (aka better vision then Stevie Wonder) will notice a rather dull area of the car around the A panel. Well that dates back to this old thread: (http://www.turbominis.co.uk/forums/index.php?p=vt&tid=266928)

the paint shop couldn't mach the paint in an aerasol (sp??) form. Oh well it looks ok for now lol

any way cheers again wolfie!
