I am going to buy some t45 tubing to add some more bits to my roll cage, and was wondering where is good.

I will need lengths up to 1300mm

Thanks
James

4130 tubing is very very simular and is a lot cheaper, I simple order mine from my local metal goods supplier

Thats good to know, I am trying to weight save on a budget at the moment.

A thread of what I'm up too will appear at some point.

Here's what happened last time I tried to buy some:

If I was to buy any more I'd probably give rollcentre a call and mail order some.

It's out on load at the moment but let me know if you want to borrow my tune notcher:

Depending on which material I can get hold of most easily. what thickess 4130 should I go for, and the same for t45

Sorry for the basic questions, but I want to get it right. The OD will be 38mm.

If you have a tube/pipe fabricator near you for a small donnation they may let uou take scrap lengths out of the skip. The place near be let me fill my boot and back seats with as much as I could take for a fiver *happy*

I gave up and ordered some cds tube. If I want a light cage in future I'll have to order a complete t45 cage from one of the suppliers out there.

My cage now weighs in at 50kg but I hope to offset some of this weight with a rear beam and replacing the roof with a composite jobbie.
