Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

is it not a tapered thread on that fitting?!

that means it shouldn't go all the way down before it goes tight.

pass? the other section that goes into the block goes all the way so i dont understand why they would put thread all the way on the other connecter and it not go in all the way in?.

Its not an SPI filter head is it? They use different threads IIRC.

Make sure you have got the right hose for your head.

As iain says, the bit going into the housing is a tapered thread, so it will just go tight. I would gather the other side just being 1/2 bsp so that will go all the way in.

As said above and to clarify you shoud have two male to male unions (thread on the outside) the union where both of these are parrallel fits into the block with a copper sealing washer. the other union will have one parrallel thread and one tappered thread, the tappered thread screws into the filter housing no washer required. Be sure not to over do it as you can crack the houwsing.
